Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with Surgical Release - Medical Animation
This medical animation shows carpal tunnel syndrome and two procedures to correct it. First, the anatomy of the wrist is shown, including the compressed median nerve, the transverse carpal ligament, and the area of the hand innervated by the median nerve. A close up view of the wrist shows the transverse carpal ligament compressing the median nerve. Then, the open release procedure is shown, including a single incision site over the palm and wrist, and the division of the transverse carpal ligament beneath to decompress the median nerve. The endoscopic procedure is shown next, including the locations of two smaller incision sites, the insertion of two trocars, and a close up endoscopic view of the compressed median nerve. At the end of the procedure, the incisions are closed, and a cast fades on over the wrist.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"I thought you might want to know that after we sent a copy of your illustration to the defendants, with a copy to the insurance company, they increased their offer by an additional million dollars and the case was settled for $1,900,000.00.

I appreciate your help!"

"This past year, your company prepared three medical illustrations for our cases; two in which we received six figure awards; one in which we received a substantial seven figure award. I believe in large part, the amounts obtained were due to the vivid illustrations of my clients' injuries and the impact on the finder of fact."

"I just wanted to let you know that after several days on trial, I settled [my client's] construction accident case for $4.5 million. Immediately after the jury was discharged, I spoke with several jurors who told me that they really appreciated the medical illustrations for their clarity in dealing with [my client's] devastating injuries. They also expressed their gratitude in being able to read from a distance all of the notations without difficulty. Obviously, the boards were visually persuasive. I am certain that this contributed to our successful result."
